Bought this to actually use with my kid for a history project, and we spent a whole evening encoding notes to each other. The wheels spin smoothly and the letters line up perfectly, which matters once you start scrambling real messages. Feels solid in the hand too, not like some flimsy printout.

The laser engraving on the wood is crisp and easy to read, even the tiny letters. I've been using it to encode notes for a history unit with my students and they actually pay attention now.
